1 Kai Bae View Point
Location : Kai Bae Beach, West of Koh Chang

Kai Bae View Point is one of the most popular beach on the western side of Koh Chang. Kai Bae Beach is situated to the
south of Klong Prao Beach and boasts a 2-kilometre stretch of sandy beach. Beach filled with waste rock and coral remains.
The slope is not very swim very well. Peaceful atmosphere is not crowded. Is the choice of a favorite tourist privacy. Kai Bae
Beach also has beautiful beaches. Quiet then. Beach to see the four islands, Yuak Island, Pli Island, Man Nok and Man
Nai Island are idyllically placed in front of the beach. During the summer months, at low-tide, Man Nai Island can be reached
by foot. Kai Bae Beach Point is the most beautiful sunsets are another of Koh Chang.

The easiest way to reach this Kai Bae View Point on Koh Chang is by Motorbike. Kai Bae View Point located just a 10
minutes walk from south Kai Bae Beach.
2 Ban Kwan Chang Elephant Camp
Location : Klong Son Bay, North West of Koh Chang

Ban Kwan Chang is situated just inland from Klong Son Bay, off the main land road, it is easily. The camp is supported by the Asian
Elephant Foundation who endeavour to maintain the Asian elephant population which has dwindled alarmingly in mainland Thailand in
recent years. To get a real experience of the camp, you are able to go on half day elephant trekking tours in the morning, where
you will be taking to various locations on the trek and get to have a break so the elephants can get to have a feed on the way.
There is around 8 elephants altogether on the Ban Kwan Chang camp site all of which have different personalities, some of them
were performing animals before arriving in Koh Chang; the others were working animals.
How to get there
From Koh Chang's piers, turn left to the main road to Klong Son Village.
3 Shrine of Chao Po Koh Chang
Location : Ao Sapparot Bay, Noth of Koh Chang

Shrine of Chao Po Koh Chang is a highly valued shrine, especially by local people. Chao Po Koh Chang (the Deity of Koh Chang)
has protected people on Koh Chang, its nearby islands and Trat on the mainland. Fishermen lost at sea or hit by monsoon
put their faith in Chao Po Koh Chang. According to legend, many prayers have been answered and the locals have been praying to
Chao Po Koh Chang regarding various hardships, from poor harvests to illness or other miseries.

4 Chai Chet Cape
Location : Klong Prao, West of Koh Chang

The Chai Chet Cape is a top destination on the amazing island Koh Chang in Thailand. Visitors come here to watch the nice sunset
on their holidays and travel tours in Thailand. Chai Chet Cape is the long seaside neighboring the Kai Bae Beach, which is relatively
steep but offers good possibilities for swimming. Bungalows with standard facilities are available. The northernmost area of Klong

From Dan Kao Pier, Turn right and following to the road to White Sand Beach, distance total 14 Km. Then turn right into the alley
about 800 metres.
5 Bang Bao Fishing Village - The Traditional Village life
Location : Bang Bao Bay, South West of Koh Chang

Bang Bao Fishing Village is very interesting residents in the area build up their houses with poles pitched into the sea and the bridge
reaching to every house is set up to link the community together. The Bang Bao Bay has been a sanctuary for fishing boats seeking
shelter from the monsoon for over a century. Bang Bao is one of the zones rich with corals. Koh Mun Nok-Mun Nai is a small isle
opposite Kai Bae Beach. The Beach around the isle can be seen at low tide. The sea in the area is some what shallow and plenty
of gold-colour corals.
How to get there
From Koh Chang's Piers, drive away to the south west side of the island a distance total about 24 Km. The easiest way to get around

can be used as public transport or can be hired privately for a half or full day.
6 Bang Bao Pier Lighthouse
Location : Bang Bao Bay, South West of Koh Chang

Bang Bao is an old fishing village that has now largely been redeveloped for visitors to Koh Chang. It has spread out on a long pier
that juts out into a large bay and which has now sprouted any number of side arms and sub-piers. There are lots of shops selling
everything. There are also some excellent seafood restaurants here that come into their own as the sun sets over the bay. The
pier is also home to several dive shops, a police station, a health centre and the convenient store. Many of the island's boat tours
depart from here as well as ferries to Koh Mak, Koh Wai and Koh Kood. If you walk all the way to the end of the pier you will find
an ornamental lighthouse that offers some great views to those that climb it.

7 Than Mayom Waterfall
Location : East of Koh Chang, Near Than Mayom Pier

Than Mayom Waterfall is the most famous waterfall in Koh Chang. It is located near the Than Mayom Pier with its entrance just
behind the Koh Chang Marine National Park office on the east of the island. An approximately 400 metres walk along a paved
concrete
route, passing through a fruit orchard will lead you to the waterfall. Than Mayom is a 4 lever medium-sized waterfall set in fertile virgin
rainforest that flows all the year round forming a large pool at its front. The first level has a large pool at the front of the waterfall where
swimming is allowed. The first levels of the waterfall have the initials of two previous Kings of Thailand, Rama V and VI, engraved into
the rock.
How to get there
The easiest way to get here is by motorbike. Drive away from the east cost of Koh Chang. The waterfall located next to Than Mayom
pier with its entrance just behind the headquarters of the Marine National Park.
8 Klong Plu Waterfall
Location : Klong Prao, West of Koh Chang

This waterfall can be reached from Ao Klong Prao or from Hat Kai Bae by following Klong Prao 2 kilometers. A 2 kilometer concrete road
leads to the Marine Park Office. There, you will find a few small restaurants. After approximately 500 meter walk, you arrive at the foot
of the waterfalls, which they are about 20 meters high. A pool beneath the falls is a good spot for a refreshing swim, and it is possible to
stay in the bungalows or camp at that area.
How to get there
Just a 2 km drive away from Klong Prao Bay community. Then walk to the waterfall follow the jungle track, which takes 20 minutes.
9 Salak Kok Mangrove Nature Trail
Location : Salak Kok Community, West of Koh Chang

Salak Kok Mangrove Nature Trail is located on the east side of Koh Chang. At Salak Kok Bay, the Salak Kok community and coastal
fishing villages have kept their traditional lifestyles, culture and traditions. Additionally, Salak Kok Bay has the largest mangrove
forest on Koh Chang as many as 650 rais, which currently has a concrete walkway to be used as a natural way for tourist information
as well. Salak Kok's Village is a source of Eco-tourism. A local tour club will be many activities for tourists to do such as rowing kayak

10 Klong Prao Temple
Location : Klong Prao Community, West of Koh Chang

Klong Prao Temple is a magnificent Buddhist Temple on Koh Chang in Thailand. Klong Prao Temple is a famous destination for
Buddhist believers who like to render homage Buddha. The colorful main hall comprised a holy Buddha statue. If you visit Klong
Prao Temple on Koh Chang early in the morning you can see the monks how they do Buddhist rituals. Very popular are the
Songkran and Loi Kratong festivals at Klong Prao Temple. The temple market invites tourists and believers for a pleasant evening
in this holy monument in Thailand. If you like to come to Klong Prao Temple on Koh Chang please dressing respectfully (no

11 Khiri Phet Waterfall
Location : Salak Phet Bay, South East of Koh Chang

Khiri Phet Waterfall Located about 2 kilometres from the fishing village of Salak Phet. Khiri Phet is medium sized waterfall with 2 levels
in the rainy season and up to 7 levels in the dry season, when there is less water. There is water in the falls all year round and a pool
to swim in on the bottom level. Further levels of the waterfall can be reached but the path is very difficult especially in rainy season
when it can be very slippery. Once at the top however, you will be rewarded with some stunning views over Salak Phet and Jek Bae.
How to get there
Just a 2 km drive away from the fishing village of Salak Phet in the south east of Koh Chang. From Salak Phet follow the jungle track
for about 1.5 km to the beginning of a footpath. After a few hundred meters you will reach the bottom level of the waterfall.
12 Klong Nueng Waterfall
Location : Salak Phet Bay, South East of Koh Chang

Koh Chang's tallest waterfall. Klong Nueng Waterfall is a great place to take a quick dip in the chest deep pool. The basin of the waterfall
is quite deep but the tourists can swim in it. If the tourists want to see the second level of the waterfall, they must climb up along the
stream bank which is a steep cliff and rather difficult to take a step up. Although Khlong Nueng waterfall is perfectly beautiful in the rainy
season, the nature law in summer causes the stream of the waterfall dry or extremely dry in some parts.
How to get there
Just a 2 km. drive away from the fishing village of Salak Phet in the south east of Koh Chang. From Salak Phet follow the jungle track for
about 500 meters. It is a very scenic drive on a narrow tarmac road with no traffic.
13 Klong Nonsi Waterfall
Location : Dan Mai Village

Klong Nonsi Waterfall is situated on the northernmost of Koh Chang, Klong Nonsi is a small-sized waterfall with a cascade, 4 level.
It is about 4 km from the headquarters of the marine park at Than Mayom. A 1-3 km. path from Dan Mai Village near Koh Chang
police station leads to Klong Nonsi.
14 Klong Jao Leaum Waterfall
Location : Klong Son Bay, North West of Koh Chang

Klong Jao Leaum Waterfall suited on the northernmost of Koh Chang, Klong Son Community. Klong Jao Laem Waterfall is a medium
sized waterfall. There is water in the falls all year round and a pool to swim in on the bottom level. Further levels of the waterfall can
be reached but the path is very difficult especially in rainy season.
How to get there
The entrance is 5 km. from Klong Son Community.
15 Klong Kaew Waterfall
Location : Bo Rai District, Trat

Klong Kaew Waterfall is a part of Khlong Kaew waterfall National Park it is located inside Khao Saming forest covering area of 200 square
kilometers, whilst Khlong Kaew national park occupies 64.6 square kilometers. Khlong Kaew sits along Thai-Cambodian border. The
peaks of the hill range constitute the border that separates Thailand and Cambodia. The highest moutain is Yod Khao Bad at about 836
metres above sea level. Evergreen forest of various plant and animal lives exist in the park. Rainy season starts in May and ends in
October or November. Cool season can be had in November to January.
Khlong Kaew waterfall is a beautiful 7 level stream of clear water which comes down from the mountains. A large stone (Lan Hin Te) at
the fourth level offers a place from where you can have a view of Bo Rai town down below. There are a couple of other waterfalls worth
visiting. Camping is possible.
How to get there
From Trat town centre, drive along high way no. 3157 (Santoon-Borrai). At 3 kilometers
before entering Bor Rai District, turn left to enter the Border Patrol Police Company 116 for five kilometers and turn left again four kilometers
to Klong kaew Waterfall and Klong kaew National Park Temporary Office.
16 Klong Chao Waterfall
Location : Koh Kood, South of Koh Chang

Klong Chao Waterfall or Nam Tok Klong Chao is one of the most gorgeous waterfall to be found Koh Kood, it is covered by ancient
tropical rainforest. Klong Chao Waterfall flows throughout the year and a large pool providing tourists a welcome spot for some
freshwater swimming. It's comprised of 3 tiers; of which the upper two tiers are running streams and the lower one is a large pond.
It's actually a quite famous waterfall as His Majesty King Rama VI visited the waterfall in 1911 and named it 'Nam Tok Anam Kok'
to commemorate Ong Chiang Su. However, the waterfall is beautiful like this only for a couple months from the rainy season onward.
The best time to visit is from June - November.
How to get there
There are boats from Koh Chang to Koh Kood three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Please ask for the departure
times of the ferries from Laem - Ngop Pier to Koh Kood at the pier. Visiting it is not complicated. Firstly, going on board about one
kilometer then continue walking for 800 meters.
17 Klong Son Bay Viewpoint
Location : Klong Son Bay, North West of Koh Chang

The northernmost viewpoint on Koh Chang is on the road between White Sand Beach and Klong Son community, halfway down the
mountain towards Khlong Son Bay. Khlong Son bay and Sapparot Bay are visible, if the weather is clear the view is good enough to
see the mainland.
How to get there
Approximately 600 metres behind White Sand Beach, after the road turns in a right curve up into the mountain.
18 Koh Chang Monkey School
Location : White Sand Beach, North West of Koh Chang

The school is located at the southern end of White Sands Beach. Here monkeys are taught how to pick coconuts and fruit from trees in
order to secure their survival. The most abundant species in Koh Chang is the curious red-tailed Macaque. The centre features highly
trained monkeys performing tricks and stunts before bemused audiences, something along the lines of a theatrically inspired monkey
show.

From Koh Chang's Piers, drive away to the west side of the island a distance total about 6 Km.
19 Koh Chang Naval Battle Area
Location : Salak Phet Bay, South East of Koh Chang

This site is located close to Salak Petch Bay, in the south of Koh Chang. This is where the Thai and French Naval
forces fought over the eastern border. The Thai Navy holds an annual event to commemorate the battle victory and
pay tribute to the dead naval forces by floating garlands into the sea. Two battleship wrecks in the sea near Salak
Phet Bay, make for an attractive diving site.
How to get there
From Koh Chang's Piers, drive away to the south west side of the island about 24 Km. Turn right from the main
road about 5 Km. then turn left on the Jack Bae – Ao Luk. Distance total about 7 Km.
20 Bo Rai Gems Market
Location : Bo Rai District, Trat

Bo Rai Gems Market or Talat Ploy, suited in Bo Rai district is noted as a source of siamese rubies or the so-called Tup Tim Siam. A Siamese
Rubies was discovered in Bor Rai district in 1971, this led to may visitors from across the country heading to the area in search of gems and
the town, along with Trat municipality. Interesting jewel markets are Talat Ploy Hua Thung, Talat Ploy Ban Sa Yai, Talat Ploy Nong Bon, etc.
The business hours of these markets begin from dawn till 10:00 am. Presently, the jewel business has come to a recess because less rubies
are available. Visitors are welcome to explore the markets and purchase gems on sale.
How to get there
The Gems Market is located approximately 65 kilometres from Trat city. The shortest route to Bo Rai distict is from Highway no. 3 through
Khao Saming (route 3157).
21 Trat City Pillar Shrine
Location : Mueang District, Trat

Trat City Pillar Shrine located on Lak Mueang Road, Trat town centre and close to Yotha Nimit Temple. The City Pillar Shrine stands in a
Chinese-style building. It is different from other city pillar shrines because of its form as a Chinese pavilion. The pillar dates back to the
time of King Taksin (the 18
th century). This shrine was built out of Chinese belief under the instruction of King Taksin the
Great for the security of the province as well as the peaceful life of the townspeople. Every year on the sixth night of the waxing moon
period of the sixth lunar month, there is a celebration called, Phli Mueang Day or known among the Chinese as Xia Gong Sae Yit which
means the birthday of the City Pillar God.

From Bangkok, take highway route no. 3 (Bangna - Trad) and turn left to highway route no. 344 (Chonburi - Baan Bung - Klaeng).
After reaching Klaeng, turn left to highway route 3 via Chanthaburi and to Trat. The total distance is 315 kilometres. Trat City Pillar
Shrine located on Lak Mueang Road, Trat town centre and close to Yotha Nimit Temple.
22 Ban Hat Lek Border Wholesale Market
Location : Klong Yai District, Trat

Ban Hat Lek is the farthest border village in Trat. It is located on Sukhumvit road (Highway No. 3), just 89 km from the provincial capital.
After the conflict ended in Cambodia, it has become a channel for Thai-Cambodia trading. There is an immigration check point at the border.
Visitors wishing to enter Cambodia from here have to apply for visa at the Cambodian Embassy in advance.

Ban Hat Lek Border Wholesale Market is located 89 km from Trat provincial capital, follow the highway no. 318 (Trat - Khlong Yai route) or
16 km from the Khlong Yai district town, are several white clean beaches and other attractions.
23 Koh Chang Yutthanawi Memorial Museum
Location : Laem Ngob District, Trat

The Koh Chang Yutthanawi Memorial located at Laem Ngop, commemorates the Franco-Thai naval engagement on January 17, 1941.
Other attractions at the memorial include the Statue of Prince Chumphon, father of the Thai navy and a warship-shaped museum
displaying old equipment and armaments of the fleet with exhibits on the Koh Chang naval battle.
How to get there
Koh Chang Yutthanawi Memorial Museum located about 25 Kilometres before reaching Trat city you will pass a police and army checkpoint, then turn right at the first traffic lights next
to the gasoline station. From there follow the signs to Koh Chang until you reach Laem Ngbo pier.
24 Ban Nam Chieo
Location : Laem Ngob District, Trat

Ban Nam Chieo or Ban Khlong Nam Chieo is located approximately 8 Kilometre south west of from Trat town via Trat - Laem Ngop
route. The village is a populated place and is noted for Ngop Nam Chieo, a native hat to ward off the sun. The hat, which is still widely
used today as it is light and comfortable, is woven with local palm leafs grown in mangrove area. In addition to the traditional shape,
it has been adapted into other more fashionable shapes as souvenirs.
How to get there
About 25 Kilometres before reaching Trat city you will pass a police and army checkpoint, then turn right at the first traffic lights next to
the gasoline station. From there follow the signs to Laem Ngop pier until you reach Ban Nam Chieo.
25 Salak Kok Community
Location : Salak kok Bay, South East of Koh Chang

Salak Kok Community is the quiet fishing village. Salak Kok located at the southern edge of the bay, is built to a large extent, on
stakes into the bay and many of the houses are connected with small timber bridges. Besides there is a school and a temple
located outside the village. At the end of the bay there is a small viewpoint, from where you have a beautiful view into the
Salak Kok Bay. The bay is approximately 1 kilometers wide, up to 2 kilometers long and only connected to the sea by a narrow
passage. It is very flat and completely scattered with islands of mangroves. It is one of the best-preserved mangrove-forests
in the whole of Thailand.
How to get there
From Koh Chang's Piers, Turn right from the main road about 18 Km. then turn left to Salak kok community.
26 Salak Petch Community
Location : Salak Phet Bay, South East of Koh Chang

These fisherman’s villages are largest on the island. Visitors could experience their ways of living. Bungalows, hire boats and food
shops are available. There are many piers that serve fishing boats as well as boats to neighboring islands and Laem Ngob or fishing
boats. The environment does the villages a lot of favors though with its conducive nature to their fishing ways, largely accounting
for their balanced existence, with a very high tolerance for tourism. Bungalows and food shops are available.

From Koh Chang's Piers, drive away to the south west side of the island about 30 Km.
27 Klong Son Community
Location : Klong Son Bay, North West of Koh Chang

Klong Son is village which plays home to Ao Klong Son Bay's community, situated on the northwest side of the Koh Chang Island.
The beauty of the sounds of the animals at night is mirrored by the visual beauty of plants, visible when the sun comes up in the
morning, mainly consisting out of mountainous greenery, with palm trees here and there, stretching over the hill and turning into
some isolated areas of beautiful natural orchids.
Ban Klong Son Village is not only a favourite place of lodging because of the natural surrounding beauty, it is also one of the favourites
because of its location, making it very easy to get around the island and engage in some holiday activities, like snorkelling, swimming,
kayaking, hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a cocktail.

28 Klong Son Temple
Location : Klong Son Community, North West of Koh Chang

Klong Son Temple is approximately 500 metres from the intersection in Klong Son Community, in the direction of the bay. Klong Son
Temple Situated on the main road of Klong Prao. There are always many renovations going on here. It is a busy and energetic temple.
Many consider this the main temple of Koh Chang. Every kind of person is welcome. Please respect Buddhist philosophy and dress
respectably when you visit.
How to get there
From Koh Chang's Piers, drive away to the south west side of the island about 3 Km. Take the left hand turn at the
crossroads in the centre of Klong Son village.
29 Salak Phet Temple
Location : Salak KoK Community, South East of Koh Chang

The Temple is a famous destination for Buddhist believers who like to render homage Buddha. The colorful main hall comprised
a holy Buddha statue. The temple was constructed during the reign of King Rama V - and there is a fine statue of him in the
grounds. Now, the restoration is now complete and is quite beautiful. The temple is surrounded by a giant snake and each
corner has a god representing it is the impressive entrance.
How to get there
From Koh Chang's Piers, drive away to the south west side of the island about 30 Km. Directly at the road, 500 metres north of
"Baan Salak Phet" You will also find a new Temple on the way to the village.
30 Bang Bao Temple
Location : Bang Bao Bay, South West of Koh Chang

Bang Bao Temple Bang Bao Temple is located at the opposite ends of the west coast of Koh Chang, Bang Bao and Klong Son villages
are both fishing communities and both have their own small temple. This is where you will see the monk bungalows and chedis for
deceased Bangbao nobility.
How to get there
Bang Bao Temple locateed on the roadside, next to the turn-off to Bang Bao Village. The temple located adjacent to Bangbao school, opposite
the turning to Bang Bao fishing village.
